I-30 closed at Mandeville due to head on wreck with semi-truck

Interstate 30 eastbound lanes are being detoured at Mandeville due to a head-on collision between a semi-truck and another vehicle.

The accident happened around 9:15 a.m. Friday at the 8 mile-marker, just east of Mandeville.

According to police radio traffic the semi-truck collied with a vehicle head-on.

One person was extricated from the vehicle by first responders.

Westbound traffic is one lane and moving slow, but will likely have to close to remove the truck from the roadway.
