The Texarkana Gazette has announced that printing of the paper will soon move from Texarkana to Little Rock.

The paper has been printed in Texarkana since 1875. The move will happen in mid-January.

According to an article in Tuesday’s gazette, “the Little Rock facility provides a state of the art direct-to-plate process with two presses that can handle more sections in a single run than possible with the current operations in Texarkana.”

According to reports 17 employees will be let go.
