According the the National Weather Service, severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon across the Ark-La-Tex.
Warm and windy conditions are expected today, with showers and thunderstorms increasing across East Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, Southwest Arkansas and Northwest Louisiana this afternoon ahead of a strong upper level storm system.
Current forecasts show possible storms reaching the Texarkana area around 5 p.m.
Severe thunderstorms are possible over these areas this afternoon, with damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes possible.
The severe weather threat will spread east across the remainder of North Louisiana and South Central Arkansas this evening before weakening late.
