A&M Texarkana campus evacuated due to gas leak

UPDATE – The Texas A&M University-Texarkana campus has reopened following a gas leak at a campus construction site.
Students are asked to check with their professors regarding any assignments or class work they may have missed.

The Texas A&M Texarkana campus has been evacuated and shutdown by authorities due to a gas leak caused by construction.

Texas A&M Police and Texarkana, Texas Police are currently on scene blocking all entrances to the school. Texarkana, Texas Fire Department was also dispatched to the scene.

The leak is near the Building for Academic and Student Services construction site.
