TEXARKANA, TEXAS – The Texarkana Texas Police Department arrested Reginald Peoples, 35, of Texarkana Texas for Aggravated Robbery. Peoples was involved in the robbery of a business in the 1600 block of New Boston Road on Tuesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the report of a robbery at Texas Car Title at 10:09 a.m. on Tuesday. The two female employees told officers that a man came into the business and pulled out a gun while demanding money. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash from the business, he ordered the employees to lay down on the floor while he made his escape.

Detectives utilized surveillance video from inside Texas Car Title and other businesses in the area to obtain pictures of the suspect, which were then distributed to officers. A patrol officer identified Peoples from an encounter approximately two weeks prior to the robbery. Building upon that information, detectives were able to establishe that Peoples was the man in the videos and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Detectives located Peoples sitting in a vehicle at his residence on Wednesday morning and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Bi-State Jail without incident. He remains in custody with a bond of $50,000.
