Miller County announces promotion of deputies

Miller County Sheriff Jackie Runion announced the promotion of three Miller County Deputies this afternoon.

Alan Keller, a 16-year veteran of the Miller County Sheriff’s Office was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Keller had previously served as a member of the Bi-State Narcotics Task Force, Miller County CID, and most recently had served as Commander of 2nd Shift in the Uniform Patrol Division. Lt. Keller now assumes the role of Commander of the Criminal Investigation Division.

Nicholas Ontiveros, a 6-year veteran of the Miller County Sheriff’s Office was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Ontiveros had previously served as a member of the Bi-State Narcotics Task Force, and most recently as a supervisor with 2nd Shift Patrol. Sgt. Ontiveros now assumes the role of Commander, 2nd Shift in the Uniform Patrol Division.

Christopher Spear, a 6-year veteran of the Miller County Sheriff’s Office was promoted to the rank of Corporal. Corporal Spear, currently serves as a Field Training Officer with the Uniform Patrol Division. Corporal Spear now assumes the role of Supervisor, 2nd Shift in the Uniform Patrol Division.

Sheriff Runion congratulates the deputies on their well-deserved promotions and looks forward to continued progress in 2018.
