Aggravated robbery charges have been formally filed by Miller County prosecutors against three women whose alleged co-conspirator was shot and killed by a Genoa, Ark., homeowner last year.

Kiana Keshaun Montgomery, 21, Ke’Erica Turner, 20, and Shaynesha Martin, 20, are accused of planning to rob an 81-year-old Genoa man Nov. 2. Shemar Davian Harris, 19, died at a local hospital after being shot by Buddy Cates. Cates reported that he has been robbed six times in the ten months prior to the fatal shooting and had taken to regularly arming himself.

Investigators with the Miller County Sheriff’s Office arrested Montgomery, Turner and Martin several days after the shooting. Martin remains in the Miller County jail with bail set at $50,000. Turner and Montgomery have both been released on $50,000 bonds. All are scheduled to appear in court this month.

Turner and Martin were both wanted in July for charges of disorderly conduct and rioting in connection with a fight captured on cell phone video and posted to social media. The women were allegedly among a group of females who were engaged in a group altercation at RaceWay gas station on State Line Avenue during daytime hours.

Turner, Martin and Montgomery could receive 10 to 40 years or life in prison if found guilty of aggravated robbery.
