Teacher confesses to videoing students in Trinity Christian School restroom

On November 27, 2017, the Texarkana, Texas Police Department investigated a complaint of Invasive Video Recording inside the JC Penny store in Central Mall. Shane Jones, 31, of Texarkana Arkansas, was arrested for Invasive Visual Recording.

Texarkana, Arkansas detectives were made aware of the discovery and information learned during the investigation lead detectives to seize Jones’s work computer and all digital devices in his home.

According to Texarkana, Ark. Police, Jones was interviewed by Detective David Parker and confessed to videoing several boys in the boys restroom of Trinity Christian School, where Jones was employed as a teacher. Detective Parker obtained an arrest warrant to charge Jones with Voyeurism and Video Voyeurism. Jones was arrested and booked into the Miller County Jail. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be forthcoming.

According to a letter from the school sent to parents Jones was terminated as a teacher on Monday.
