Texarkana man arrested for Fouke church burglary

On Wednesday, March 28, 2018 Investigator Sam McJunkins of the Miller County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dakota Young, 21 of Texarkana, Arkansas on charges of Burglary, Theft of Property and Criminal Mischief in reference to a 2016 burglary at a church in Miller County.

On April 22, 2016, Miller County deputies responded to the First Assembly of God Church located in Fouke regarding a reported burglary. Reports reflect that a door was forced open to gain access to the building, and once inside, suspects removed a safe. The safe was subsequently recovered in Little River County. Following recent forensic testing of evidence recovered at the scene by the Arkansas State Crime Lab, Investigator McJunkins obtained an arrest warrant on Young and arrested him this morning.

Young is currently being held in the Miller County Detention Center awaiting arraignment on the charges, and the investigation into the 2016 burglary continues.
