According to the report the passenger stated when they exited onto the Jefferson exit, the driver turned into the turn around on the bridge and struck the rail. After doing that the driver finally stopped. Both passengers advised that his actions made them believe he was under the influence.

“While speaking with Olson, I observed he was unable to stand still without swaying, Olson had delayed responses to every question he was asked,” Officer Burks stated in the arrest report. “When asked if he had taken any medication, he stated he had taken klonopin six to eight hours earlier. I advised Olson I would be giving him a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.”

After conducting a field sobriety test Officer Burks placed Olson under arrest for driving while intoxicated. A breath sample returned a reading of .00 and Olson allegedly refused to provide a urine sample.

According to the passenger Uber has been contacted and is re-evaluating Olsen’s access to the Uber app.
