Bowie County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery in the 8400 block of Highway 59 South on March 15, 2018 around 2:25 pm. While on their way to the call deputies were given the description of the white male that had just robbed the store along with a possible vehicle he might be in.

Liberty-Eylau ISD Police Chief Bart Veal was close to this area and responded to assist. He stopped a vehicle matching the description given of the possible suspect vehicle in the 6300 block of Highway 59 South. Wake Village Police Department Officer Chris Cobb backed up Chief Veal on this traffic stop. The driver of this was found to be a white female named Rochelle Alicia Rodriquez and the passenger was found to be a white male named Noah Allen Fomby.

A large sum of United States paper currency along with bank rolled United States coins were observed in plain sight while the officers were speaking with the two. Rodriquez alerted officers to the fact that there was a gun in the glove box of the vehicle. A handgun was then recovered from the glove box of this vehicle. Clothing matching the description of the clothes worn by the robber was located in the backseat of this vehicle. Captain Robby McCarver watched the video of this robbery and determined Fomby was indeed the suspect in this robbery. Fomby was arrested and taken to the Bi-State.

Rodriquez agreed to come to the Bi-State voluntarily to speak with investigators. The entire cash drawer from the cash register was taken during this crime. Lieutenant George Huggins Jr. located the stolen cash drawer in the 1000 block of Sherwood Forest Road. This evidence was collected by BCSO investigators.

Fomby was interviewed at the Bi-State by Investigators Chris Sutherland and Dustin Thompson. He confessed to committing this robbery.

Fomby was booked into the Bi-State Jail for Aggravated Robbery where he remains in custody. His bond had not been set at the time of this press release. After interviewing Rodriquez and Fomby, Rodriquez was also arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery. She was also booked into the Bi-State Jail where she remains in custody. Her bond had not been set at the time of this press release either.
