Vehicle Burglary Investigation Leads to Large Drug Bust

Two people have been arrested for multiple drug violations after police discovered an apartment that was actively selling narcotics, while they were investigating recently vehicle burglaries.

According to Wake Village Detective Todd Aultman, while conducting a concentrated investigation into recent vehicle burglaries, the Wake Village Police Department along with the Nash Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division discovered an apartment that was actively selling narcotics. A secondary investigation was begun that resulted in a search warrant being issued to search the apartment.

On Tuesday, August 1 the search warrant was being executed when a black male jumped from the second story of the apartment in an attempt to flee. The subject was quickly detained as Wake Village Police Officers had to forcibly breach the front door to the apartment. Once inside, another male was taken into custody.

According to Aultman, during the search, about 5 ounces of marijuana, over 200 grams of ecstasy, several Xanax bars and a pistol were all located. In addition, multiple cell phones, digital scales and boxes of plastic baggies were all located which indicate possession with the intent to deliver.

Adarius Deron Wills and Devaughn Dewayne Wills were arrested for Delivery of Marijuana over 4 ounces but under 5 pounds, Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 over 4grams but under 400grams and Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 under 28 grams. The Wills bond was set at $120,000 apiece.
