The Texarkana Texas Police Department arrested Gretta Dennis, 32, of Texarkana Texas, for Reckless Driving early this morning.

At 12:50 a.m. today, Lieutenant Mike Harris observed a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze travelling approximately 50 miles per hour in the 4100 block of North Kings Highway. As the vehicle passed his location, he saw a man laying across the hood of the vehicle. Harris immediately activated his emergency lights, and Dennis stopped in a convenience store parking lot just south of Interstate 30.

It was determined that Dennis and the 42 year old man were involved in an argument at a residence on Galloping Way. When Dennis attempted to leave the residence, the man climbed onto the vehicle to try to prevent her from driving away. Dennis drove more than a mile with the man clinging to the vehicle’s hood.

Dennis was arrested and transported to the Bi-State Jail. A bond has not yet been set on the misdemeanor charge.
