The National Weather Service has issued a Particularly Dangerous Situation Tornado Watch until 10 p.m.
PDS tornado watches are issued when there is a higher than normal risk of multiple strong to violent tornadoes – especially those that are predicted to be long-track in nature, with path lengths of more than 20 miles – in the watch area.
Intense thunderstorms are expected to track across the watch area this afternoon and early evening, posing a risk of tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds. Strong tornadoes are possible. Multiple rounds of severe storms are expected across this region.
