Two killed in Interstate 30 wreck near Hooks

TEXARKANA – On Monday at approximately 5:55 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a crash on I-30 service road, about 1.3 miles west of Hooks, Texas.

A 2016 Mazda 6, driven by Antonia White, was traveling west on I-30 service road at a high rate of speed. The vehicle left the roadway on the north side of the service road, striking the curb. The vehicle then traveled up the north embankment before vaulting over Spur 594. The vehicle then rolled approximately one and half times before coming to rest on the passenger side.

Antonia Lashea White, a 23 year old female from Austin, Texas, was transported to St. Michael’s hospital in Texarkana in serious condition.

Passengers, Shelia Ann Murray, a 52 year old female from Austin, Texas and Namoni Lahell Murray, a 43 year old female from Texarkana, Texas were pronounced dead on scene by JP Nancy Talley.
