$10,000 reward now offered in murder case

Using the online source, “Go Fund Me”, the family of Scott Roberts has raised a $10,000 dollar cash reward to anyone who provides information that assists Texarkana, Arkansas Police in apprehending the murder suspect.

According to Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department Public Information Officer Corporal Kristi Bennett, “this includes anyone who has already contacted police formally or anonymously with any information that will assist in solving this case.”

“Texarkana Arkansas Police Detectives continue to collect, review, and process information, leads, and forensic evidence that we believe will lead to the arrest of the individual(s) involved in the murder of Scott Roberts, who was shot and killed in his home at approximately 11:00am on July 2, 2015, after returning from an out of town trip,” said Bennett.

According to Bennett TAPD Detectives have received assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation in utilizing some of their advanced equipment in processing and analyzing information and evidence in this case.

Capt. Doug Avery, TAPD Criminal Investigation Division Commander says this is a very complex case with a large number of leads that are being investigated by Detectives. “It continues to receive our highest priority with hundreds of investigative man hours and overtime being utilized.”
