17 year old Hope, Ark. man arrested for early morning murder

A Hope, Ark. man accused of shooting and killing a man early Wednesday morning in Hope was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Magnolia, Ark.

According to Hope police on July 29, 2015 at approximately 1:30 a.m. officers of the Hope Police Department responded the 400 block of East Berry Street in Hope in reference to a person being shot.

Officers arrived and located a deceased victim, Ivory Conway Jr., 24, seated in a vehicle with what appeared to be several gunshot wounds.

By noon Wednesday a warrant was issued for Travon Davis, 17, black male, of Hope for 1st degree murder in connection with the incident.

 

According to police at approximately 3 p.m. investigators with the Hope Police Department arrested Davis for first degree murder 1st Degree.  “Davis was taken into custody in Magnolia, Arkansas without incident and transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where he will be held for a first appearance.”
