A multi-vehicle collision involving a Texarkana, Arkansas School District school bus sent two people to a local hospital Thursday afternoon.

According to police the school bus was traveling on E. 24th Street when it struck a Texarkana Water Utilities truck in the intersection of Jefferson that was traveling south on Jefferson Ave.   The bus striking the TWU truck caused the truck to spin around and impact a car waiting at the red light in the northbound lanes.

One student was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital.  The passenger of the car that was struck was transported by LifeNet to a hospital.   No life-threatening injuries were reported.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by Texarkana, Arkansas Police.
