Accident on Texas Boulevard Traps Motorcycle Driver Under Truck

Friday, October 17, 2014 | At approximately 1:20 pm, a male Texarkana, Arkansas resident was driving a 98 Honda Shadow motorcycle westbound on 14th Street

and a female Texarkana, Texas resident going northbound on Texas Boulevard collided “in the intersection,” according to Shawn Vaughn, the Public Information Officer for the Texarkana, Texas Police Department. This collision threw the motorcycle driver and he landed under a pickup truck in the Southbound Lane on Texas Boulevard.

Both drivers were taken to Wadley Regional Medical Center. The male driver sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The female driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

No citations have been issued at this time, and the event is still under investigation.
