Texas A&M University-Texarkana faculty and staff have donated approximately $23,000 for student scholarships to be awarded in fall 2017 – an increase of almost $9,000 from the previous year’s total of $14,000.

“We are extremely proud to have faculty and staff that care for our students’ financial needs and continue to give the gift of education year after year,” said Associate Vice President for University Advancement LeAnne Wright. “For the 2016-17 academic year, A&M-Texarkana faculty and staff funded scholarships for 14 students. Generally, faculty and staff continue to give throughout the year, so we can expect to almost double the number of scholarships for the upcoming year.”

In addition to the annual scholarships, the faculty and staff at A&M-Texarkana have established an endowed scholarship fund at the university.
