Dr. Drew Morton, assistant professor of Mass Communication at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, was recently honored to participate in the Towson University Department of Electronic Media and Film Visiting Artist Program in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Morton spoke to Towson students and faculty about videographic criticism and comic book films and appeared on the student news program WMJF.tv.
“I really enjoyed speaking to the faculty and student body at Towson. Their enthusiasm about the subject of videographic criticism and their fantastic questions about pedagogy and fair use were incredibly stimulating,” said Dr. Morton.
Dr. Del Doughty, dean of the College of Education and Liberal Arts at A&M-Texarkana, said, “I’ve known Dr. Morton only a short time, but I recently had the pleasure of hearing him lecture on the subject of racial bias in Hollywood. I was impressed by his ability to engage and stimulate a group of students and Texarkana residents and to lead a productive discussion. Dr. Morton is recognized for his acumen and abilities by his peers in the field and by his colleagues here at the university.”
Towson University is the second largest university in Maryland. It is part of the University System of Maryland.
