Angel Tree Program 2015

Each year in Texarkana, and hundreds of other cities throughout the United States, The Salvation Army offers holiday shoppers the opportunity to make someone’s Christmas wish come true by adopting a child through the Angel Tree Program. Once again, Townsquare Media — Kicker 102.5, Power 95-9, Eagle 106.3 Mix 93.3 and Kosy 790AM, are proud to be an Angel Tree location.

The Salvation Army has conveniently placed an Angel Tree in our front lobby located at 2324 Arkansas Blvd. Feel free to drop by the studios during normal business hours 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and select an angel hanging from the branches. Each angel represents a child in need from our community.

After selecting an Angel, the purchased, unwrapped gifts are returned to the Angel Tree location to be distributed to the families during The Salvation Army’s annual Toy Shop in time for Christmas. The program provides new clothing, shoes, basic needs and “wish list” items to thousands of children who might not otherwise receive anything for Christmas.

Lt. Bernadette Carreira, The Salvation Army Texarkana says, “Every child should have something to open on Christmas morning. Last year, The Salvation Army provided gifts to 1.050 children and seniors in our area and are hoping for more Angels to be adopted this year.”

Listed below are just a few wishes from our Angel Tree. Please stop by and help make a wish come true for a child or family this Christmas.
