Authorities are searching for a man that led Hooks police on a pursuit before bailing on foot from a stolen vehicle Tuesday morning.
A Hooks officer attempted to stop a Ford Ranger for expired registration when the vehicle fled from him. The truck crashed on Garden Rd. at Interstate 30 and the driver and female passenger ran from the vehicle.
The passenger was quickly apprehended by Hooks police, but the driver remains on the run.
Bowie County Sheriff’s Office and the Telford Prison Tracking Unit are now on scene searching for the driver.
According to police the vehicle was reported stolen out of Cass County.
