Boy Scouts Troop 16 Celebrates 50 Years of Scouting

Boy Scouts of America Troop 16 held their 50 year anniversary activities this previous weekend. They had an open house at the newly added on to Scout Hut behind First Baptist Church Moores Lane. There was a rock climbing wall along with free snow cones and hot dogs.

The focus of the day was the get kids interested in scouting. Sunday the scouts held a lunch followed by an awards presentation recognizing people who have contributed to scouting. Fred Norton was presented a scouting themed family portrait.
