March 24, 2015 | Pleasant Grove Bond Election Committee will hold a community meeting to organize its election efforts at 6:00 pm this Thursday, March 26 in Wesley Hall at Williams United Methodist Church.

The committee is in charge of getting the word out to voters in the community, making them aware of the election, of where to vote, and the early voting days.

The PG Bond 2015  Election Community meeting will be held at 6:00 pm this Thursday, March 26 at Williams UMC. PG PAC chairs Joan Carter and Danielle Patterson would like to invite the community  to attend for a little business, lots of information, a few opportunities, and some PG fun! Bring the whole family for refreshments and entertainment by the Pleasant Grove cheerleaders. There will be many different opportunities for volunteering and you can pick up yard signs to show your support. Come and gather with Hawk Nation to hear important details on the Pride and Progress desired in the community. Also, be the first to grab some new $5 t-shirts in support of PG Bond 2015.

“The difference from last year to this year is everything. Many potential voters said they did not know about the election. They did not know where to vote. Some people just did not want to get out to vote on Saturday. This time people will not be able to say that we did not know we had an election. We will have people walking the streets and putting up signs in the community,” stated Patterson.

PG Bond 2015 would like to know if you are coming to the first community meeting. Go to the Facebook Event page to let them know you will be attending – https://www.facebook.com/events/1569298556668238/.

After the school board calls a bond election, the school cannot spend money to promote a Yes vote. That is where the Political Action Committee comes in, which is now in charge. The Political Action Committee is a campaign committee where members raise money to get all the information out to the voting public, including signage, brochures, and websites .
