The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District awarded a $6,563,431 firm-fixed-price contract Sept. 17 to Proserve Crane and Equipment, Inc. of Houston, Texas, for the purchase and installation of 93 various size bridge cranes for the Maneuver Systems Sustainment Center, Phase III at Red River Army Depot, Texas.

The Maneuver Systems Sustainment Center will replace the current facility at Red River Army Depot which is responsible for most of the Army’s tactical truck reset operations and is expected to be completed in Aug. 2015.

The new center will house and use modern technology and production techniques to repair, assemble and install major vehicle components in one major facility versus transporting vehicles to outlying buildings.

“We congratulate Proserve Crane and Equipment, Inc. on their selection as the contractor for installing the bridge cranes as a part of Phase III of this key Army project,” said Col. Charles H. Klinge, commander, Fort Worth District.  “We look forward to the completion of what will be a state-of-the-art facility for maintenance, repair and sustainment of our tactical vehicles.”
