Driver arrested after crashing into doughnut shop

The driver of a car that crashed into a doughnut shop Monday evening was arrested for allegedly being intoxicated.

The man crashed his car into the front of Master Doughnut on New Boston Rd. at Robison Rd. According to police radio traffic, he claimed he was being chased by another car at the time.

Police conducted a field sobriety test on the man and then placed him into custody for driving while intoxicated.

The driver was not injured in the crash.
