Healthcare Express Buys the Sanctuary

Walking into The Sanctuary, you can expect to receive pampering and personal attention, and you will experience a soothing touch and a sense of rejuvenation upon leaving the spa. It is the same combination of quality medical care, coupled with the romance of the city’s premier spa, that Kim Parham, M.D. has built in the facility located at 3502 Richmond Road, with one change. The facility is now under the umbrella of services provided by HealthCARE Express, the city’s leading urgent care, occupational, and pain management clinic, located directly across the street.

After making the decision to relocate to a new city, Dr. Parham wanted to find a way to keep the services her patients had experienced available to the Texarkana community. After exploring options, she saw a great fit in selling her business to HealthCARE Express to continue building upon the business legacy she was going to be leaving behind.

“I am excited to sell my practice to HealthCARE Express to offer my patients and Texarkana not only continued dermatology services but also an innovative approach to total wellness. It is an incredible opportunity for Texarkana,” Parham said.

All of the services patients have experienced at The Sanctuary will remain, and Dr. Parham will be coming back to Texarkana monthly to assist the dermatology team with procedures. However, H.J. Platt, M.D., will be taking over as the medical director for the facility. Dr. Platt is the area’s top expert on hormone replacement and age management. Those are just a few of the new services HealthCARE Express is adding to the medical spa’s offering.

“This practice was a combination of dermatology, massage, and aesthetics. We will continue with those same services and are excited that the team at the Sanctuary will be remaining with us. We will also be adding women and men’s wellness medicine, bio-identical hormone replacement, weight loss, gynecology, and many other services,” said Dr. Platt.

Generally, the public has associated medical spas with plastic surgery and other beauty-related procedures, but Platt points out that the new modern medical spa focuses on total wellness of the individual. The goal is to keep mind, body and spirit at optimum functioning.

“While medical spas tend to appeal to women, our vision and the new services we are adding are designed to provide a place for both men and women to receive integrated medicine services. What that means is we are combining the best that Western Medicine has to offer, along with nutrition, fitness, preventative care, and rejuvenation. It’s more than just balancing hormones.”

Of course, the public will also want to continue taking advantage of the great revitalizing services available at the spa – which make great holiday gifts, too. “In addition to the medical services we have, we also will be continuing microdermabrasion, facials, manicures, pedicures, and paraffin treatments. Plus, we will continue to offer a stellar line of medical grade skin care products, mood setting candles, and other things associated with being able to take the rejuvenating feeling home with you,” Platt added. The Sanctuary by HealthCARE Express invites you to join them on December 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for their Holiday Extravaganza. Learn more at www.HealthCAREExpress.us /TheSanctuary.
