Hempstead County woman calls sheriff after man casts voodoo spell on her

According to Hempstead County Sheriff at approximately 4:00 P.M. on June 19, 2015 Deputy Luke Sorenson was dispatched to 4732 Highway 278 west In reference to a female receiving a threatening text. Deputy Sorenson was advised to make contact with Lisa Walker in reference to a threatening text.

Upon arrival Deputy Sorenson made contact with Ms. Walker who stated that she had received some texts from a male subject and stated she was worried that he was going to cast a “voodoo spell” on her.

Ms. Walker showed Deputy Sorenson the texts and how it referenced his mother who she believes practices voodoo. Ms. Walker stated that the male subject lives in Garland city and that he owes her money. Ms. Walker stated that she just wants him to stop contacting her and to not have a spell cast on her.

Deputy Sorenson made contact with male subject who stated that he and Lisa had dated a while back and they broke up when he realized she was crazy. He stated that he had only texted her after she had called him three times today. The male subject stated that he has been in Texas all day and that he doesn’t want to deal with her anymore. Deputy Sorenson advised the male subject not to contact Ms. Walker anymore the male subject stated that he did not plan on having anything to do with her.
