The City of Texarkana, Texas appointed Shirley Jaster as City Manager at their regular meeting Monday, October 23, 2017.
Jaster was previously Deputy City Manager, and then replaced John Whitson as Interim City Manger during the August 04, 2017 meeting when the City voted to end Whitson’s contract.

Jaster is the first female City Manger for Texarkana, Texas.
