Williams Memorial United Methodist Church is hosting a mission project called UM Army. The Youth Groups and their Leaders go out into the Texarkana community and help rebuild residences. They do projects such as roofing, building wheelchair ramps, painting houses and other home improvement projects.

Five local churches, Bullard United Methodist, Pollard United Methodist, Jacksonville United Methodist, Chandler United Methodist, and Williams Memorial United Methodist, have collaborated to take part in Project UM Army.

Approximately 75 volunteers are actively involved in Project UM Army and will work on improvements throughout the week until Saturday morning.
