Man Receives 19 Years for Trafficking Meth Through Texarkana

Robert William Clark was sentenced to 235 months in federal prison Wednesday for trafficking one kilogram of methamphetamine through Texarkana.

According to a factual resume filed with the court, the car he was traveling in was pulled over on Interstate 30 while traveling from Rockwall, Texas to northeast Arkansas. Texas DPS troopers found 3 pounds of methamphetamine in the rear area of the car the factual resume states.

Clark had asked his co-defendant, William Clyde Irby, who was sentenced to 10 years, to drive him to and from Rockwall to purchase the meth from a supplier for $26,000.

Clark also agreed to a judgement of $26,000 as part of the plea agreement.
