Man shot in drive-by shooting on State Line

Texarkana, Texas Police are investigating a drive by shooting that occurred on North State Line Avenue Tuesday evening.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a gunshot victim at the emergency room at Wadley Regional Medical Center at approximately 8:20 p.m.

According to police the 27 year old resident of Texarkana, Arkansas told officers that he was driving southbound on State Line Avenue near the intersection of West 10th Street. “He said that the passenger in a dark colored Lexus SUV fired four shots at him as it pulled beside his vehicle in the inside lane.”

Police say the victim, who was struck once on the left side of his body behind his arm, then drove himself to the emergency room for treatment.

His medical condition was listed as good. There are no suspects or known motive at this time.
