Off duty sheriff’s deputy follows and apprehends hit-and-run suspect

8:00 p.m. Wednesday | A hit-and-run accident in the 3500 block of Robinson Rd. left a house damaged with a car upside down in the yard.

According to radio traffic an off duty Bowie County Sheriff’s Deputy witnessed the accident and started pursuing a black Ford F-150 that was leaving the scene. Bowie County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Texarkana, Texas Police Officers soon reported that the truck was stopped in Central Mall parking lot off of Cowhorn Creek.

No life threatening injuries were reported. According to radio traffic police arrested the driver of the truck that left the scene.
