Parks and Recreation Department offers Movies in the Park and more this October

The City of Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department will host a series of Movies in the Park at Spring Lake Park each Thursday in October. The line-up includes The Jungle Book on October 6th, Angry Birds on October 13th, Goosebumps on October 20th, and The Town That Dreaded Sundown on October 27th. Movies will start at 7 p.m. near the airplane, and are free and open to the public.  Participants are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Refreshments will be sold.

The annual fall festival will be held at Spring Lake Park on Thursday, October 20th from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. and will include a hay ride, pumpkin painting, a costume contest, games and more. This event is free and open to the public.

The fall yard sale and electronics recycling event is slated for Saturday, October 29th from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Call (903) 798-3978 to reserve your booth today.
