According to a notice posted by Redwater city officials customers should boil water prior to consumption.

According to the notice it is due to chlorine residuals being below the state required levels.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. Water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.

City water officials are continuing to flush water lines in hopes of correcting the problem. Water pressure may be low at times due to continuous flushing.
