Family-owned restaurant offering Tex-Mex fare and a wide variety of margaritas announced the closing of their establishment after roughly fifteen months in business.

Johnny Tamale located right off Interstate 30 on 607 E 51st St, opened to the public in September 2015 – a year later it has officially closed its doors.

In a sign found on the front door addressed to the public, Johnny Tamale’s management thanked Texarkanians for their patronage and announced the closing of the restaurant.

The sign also informed any costumers with gift cards to contact Jeff at (832) 372-5687.

Johnny Tamale in Texarkana was one of two locations, the remaining can be found in East Sam Houston Pkwy S in Pasadena, Texas.

There is no further information at this time as to what business will arrive at this location.
