Texarkana Emergency Center received a 100 percent overall rating with zero deficiencies from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

The unannounced on-site survey was initiated on March 28, 2016. The state agency conducted thorough examinations into the clinical and radiology departments, lab, pharmacy, medical records, administration, physician files and patient satisfaction, as well as all other operational protocols.

Texarkana Emergency Center joined the ranks of very few other free-standing emergency centers to receive a perfect rating. The staff expressed their excitement to continue serving Texarkana and its surrounding areas, confident in their ability to provide superior patient care and treatment.

Texarkana Emergency Center spokesperson went on to say that this accomplishment is the result of the dedication and tireless efforts of both the clinical and managerial staff.

“We recently received a hundred percent rating with no deficiencies from the Texas State Department of Health,” said Leigh Ann Scates, RN, Director of Nursing at Texarkana Emergency Center. “This is a very rare occurrence and news we are excited to share with the community. We are very proud of our staff.  We want to thank the patients who have chosen us for their emergency care and we hope this news will encourage others to choose Texarkana Emergency Center.”

Texarkana Emergency Center’s team of experienced physicians and emergency room nurses, CT and X-ray technicians and front office staff work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide patients with courteous and diligent care.
