Texarkana, Texas City Council to discuss stoplight at Cowhorn and Galleria Oaks

The Galleria Oaks Drive and Cowhorn Creek Road intersection has been a hot topic of discussion since the intersection converted to a four way stop this past February.

Since the installation of the stop signs, this intersection has still been an area with multiple wrecks which have taken place when drivers did to see the stop signs and failed to make a stop.

At tonight’s Texarkana, Texas City Council meeting, council members will hold the first briefing for resolution No. 2016-056 which authorizes staff to proceed with necessary work to upgrade from a four-way stop to a traffic signal at the intersection of Galleria Oaks Drive and Cowhorn Creek Road.

This is the first item on the agenda for the meeting that begins at 7pm. This meeting is open to the public, whom will be given a chance to speak on this issue.
