Texas Middle School Robotics Teams Qualify for State Competitions and Wild Card Spot

Texarkana, Texas | Texas Middle School robotics teams had one team qualify for state competition and one team earn wild card spot for state during the recent Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) Area 8 Competition held on Saturday, December 13 in Pittsburg, TX.

Each year, TCEA offer students the opportunity to compete in a prescribed problem contest as well as an open-ended invention contest. Students use marketing, programming, writing, constructing and presentation skills to find a solution for a problem of their choice.

Thirty-three teams competed in the event as an invention team or an arena team.

Earning Second Place in Inventions and moving on to the state competition is the TMS Inventors Team of Craig Crawford, Kenichi Pass & Davis Sutton.

The RoboCops team of Dewoine Leeks, Ian Sulzer & Abraham Vasquez received Fifth Place in Arena and secured a Wild Card spot for the state competition.
