The Texarkana bats exploded like never before Tuesday in a 10-0 rout of the visiting Texas Marshals.

George Dobson Field was rocking as the Twins lit up the scoreboard and shut down the Marshals while taking care of a trio of franchise firsts.

First, the Twins scored in the double-digits for the first time in franchise history. Second, the Twins put up first shutout in franchise history. And Third, but certainly not least, the Twins had a pitcher go the distance for a complete game shutout.

Trey Jeans went all 9 innings in dominating fashion, striking out 15 hitters, giving up 2 hits, and no runs. This outing was one of the more polarizing individual performances in the young TCL season.

On the other side of things, the Texarkana bats took off early and often, putting up a three-spot in the 1st, 6th, and 8th, along with a run in the third to total 10 runs for the first time this season.

Gunner Halter went 4-5 with 3 R and 2 RBI to up his average to .364 on the season. Another strong outing was from Chad McKinney who went 2-3 with 2 runs scored as well.

With the win, the Twins move within a single game of the Texas Marshals and a spot in the playoffs. The Twins will meet the Marshals for a chance to sweep the home series tomorrow night at 7:30pm. You can hear every Twins game on KTFS 98.5 FM, and 740 AM.
