TTPD arrests 5 for multiple vehicle thefts in DFW area

Texarkana, Texas Police have arrested five suspects believed to be involved in multiple car thefts in the Dallas, Texas area.

Jordan Rashad Ford, 23, Frisco, Texas, Roderick Arvin Armstrong, 20, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Javae Xavier Robinson, 19, Plano, Texas, Eric Terryon Banks, 19, Dallas, Texas and Cadarius Richard Peterson, 19, Dallas, Texas were arrested and charged with Theft by Exercising Control of Stolen Property after being found in possession of two stolen vehicles in Texarkana.

On July 30, 2015 at approximately 9 a.m. Texarkana, Texas Police Lieutenant Mike Harris located a 2006 Range Rover with a license plate that did not match the vehicle in the area of West 16th and Milam Streets. Harris was able to confirm that the Range Rover had been stolen during a robbery in Dalworthington Gardens, Texas. He then discovered that the Lexus parked behind the Range Rover had been reported as stolen from McKinney, Texas. Detectives were then called to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Detectives James Dean and Greg Walker began canvassing the area for information and found the five suspects in a nearby apartment. Dean and Walker were able to develop probable cause to connect the suspects to the vehicles. All five men were arrested and transported to the Bi-State Jail where they are awaiting bond.
