TEXARKANA, Texas – A neighbor’s call to 911 resulted in the arrest of a burglary suspect on Saturday evening. On January 31, 2015 at 9:50 p.m. a resident in the 1100 block of South Lake Drive called to report that someone had broken a window and had gone into his neighbor’s home. While responding to the call, Texarkana, Texas Police Department Officer Kody Edwards noticed a man matching the suspect’s description walking away from the area carrying a DVD player and a satellite receiver. An initial investigation confirmed that the items had been stolen from the home. Edwards, assisted by Officer Mark Shermer, then arrested 43 year old Cleophus Noble of Texarkana, Texas, charging him with Burglary of a Habitation. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Noble’s bond was set at $40,000 by Judge Gibson Hadaway.
