TTPD Arrests Man With Conterfeit Money and Drugs

Texarkana, Texas ~ Texarkana Texas Police Officers arrested a local man for several charges following an early morning traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle.

According to Texarkana, Texas Police Department officers observed a Chevrolet pickup parked behind a business in the 2300 block of Richmond Road at 2:37 a.m. today. As the officers’ unit approached the vehicle, it began to pull away. They initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Michael Scott Ingram, 35, of Texarkana, Arkansas. A warrant check revealed that Ingram had several outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions. He was arrested, and officers impounded his vehicle. During an inventory of the vehicle, officers found small baggies containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine. The officers later noticed that Ingram was repeatedly observed moving around in the back seat of the patrol unit. When they opened the car door to investigate, they discovered that he had two counterfeit bills in his hand.

Ingram’s charges include Possession of Controlled Substance, Forgery (counterfeit money), Theft of Property (Bowie County TX warrant), Theft of Property (Lamar County TX warrant) and Probation Violation for Burglary (Miller County AR warrant). He was transported to the Texarkana Jail.
