  • What do you enjoy most about living in Texarkana ?

I like the community feel. The city is small enough to feel close-knit, but large enough to have options – education, for example. I love seeing us grow toward being more of a “college town” – I think a lot of people would be surprised at how many international students we have in Texarkana.

  • Why do you read Txk Today for your local news ?

I like how TXK Today uses technology to provide up-to-the-moment content. You might hear about something and think, “Ooh, let me go see if Txk Today has more on this,” and usually you guys do.  🙂

  • What is your favorite thing to do in Texarkana ?

A lot of my family’s activities revolve around eating, so we like to try any new restaurants. Then I love walking through Owl’s Nest or Squirrel’s Nest, both are sources of inspiration for me.

  • What’s one thing you can’t live without ?

Oh gosh, chapstick. I’m using that term generically, I have a variety of brands and types, I’m a junkie.

  • What are you most looking forward to this summer?

Warm sun, fresh veggies and taking time for experiences with my little boy, like shaved ice at Southern Tropics. (We are partial to the clear coconut.)
