Woman Wanted by Mount Pleasant Police for Possession of Child Pornography Arrested in Texarkana

A woman wanted by Mount Pleasant, Texas Police for possession of child pornography was arrested by Texarkana, Texas Police Department earlier this week.

According to Mount Pleasant Police Department on Monday April 21, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 26 year old Megan Williams of Mount Pleasant for Possession of Child Pornography, a 2nd degree felony.

 

Previously on April 7th, Mount Pleasant Police Department Detectives arrested 41 year old Timothy Paul Rovell of Titus County for Possession of Child Pornography and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Williams was arrested on April 9th for Tampering with Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair a Criminal Investigation. Williams bond was set at $20,000. Both cases on Williams and Rovell are related.

According to police hours before the new arrest warrant was obtained for Williams, she made bail on a $20,000 bond and was released from the Titus County Jail. When detectives discovered Williams was no longer in custody a regional fugitive search began. Megan Williams was found in Texarkana by the Texarkana Police Department late Monday evening.
According to Texarkana Texas Police Department they received information that Williams was possibly in an apartment at a complex in the 5200 block of Summerhill Road. An officer went to the apartment and located Williams where she was arrested without incident.
Williams was booked into the Bowie County Jail Annex and is waiting to be transferred back to Titus County Jail for the Child Pornography charge. Rovell remains in custody.

According to Mount Pleasant Police Department this continues to be an ongoing investigation that could result in additional charges against both Rovell and Williams.
