Sunday 10 a.m. | One person was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injures after running off Highway 59 and hitting a gas meter.
Liberty Eylau Volunteer Fire Department, Bowie County Sheriff’s Office, and Texas DPS troopers were all quickly on scene and reported that the vehicle came to rest on top of a gas meter.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
According to a person who lived in the house the vehicle hit a trailer and truck parked in the yard and moved them 4-5 feet.
