Police Arrest Man in Stolen Vehicle Rio Grande & 40th [VIDEO]

TEXARKANA, Texas–On August 18th in the early morning hours, Police were notified of a stolen black 1997 Jeep Cherokee. The owner of the vehicle stated that he had left the vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 5200 block of Summerhill Road and someone had taken it without his permission.

Lt. Johnny Weaver observed the suspect walking away from the stolen vehicle in the 3900 block of Rio Grande St. Lt. Weaver detained the suspect, who turned out to be a 15 year old juvenile. The key to the vehicle was in the suspect’s pants pocket. The vehicle was released to its owner. The suspect was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
