Front Street Food Fest comes to Downtown Texarkana this weekend

More than 20 food vendors will gather at Front Street Plaza this Saturday, July 20, for the 5th Annual Front Street Food Fest. Everything from tacos, BBQ, tamales, and baked goods will be available. One baker will even attempt to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.

Dejeune Kinchen, owner of JAM Confection Company of Little Rock, is a Texarkana native baker who is attempting to break the world record this weekend for decorating six cupcakes the fastest. The current record is 47.21 seconds. She will attempt to set the record at 2:00 p.m.

Other vendors attending the festival include Scottie’s Grill, Los Ruvalcaba, Shell Shocked Catering & Events, Las Tres Ts, Tutu’s Touch, Boondocks Backyard, GG’s BBQ, Hot Tamale Heaven, Lost Creek Catering & Concessions, The Lumpia Shack, Happy Heart Catering, Clark’s Famous BBQ, Mama Nem Kitchen and more.

Live music and giveaways will also be part of the events that day. The Front Street Food Festival will start at 10 a.m. and end at 8 p.m. and take place at Front Street Plaza. Admission to the festival is free.
