DESCRIPTION:The Texarkana Chapter of Brother’s Keepers Motorcycle Club is excited to announce the First Annual Ark-La-Tex Burn Run will be held on March 30\, 2019 at the Spring Lake Park in Texarkana\, Texas. Gates will open at 8:00 a.m. This is a family oriented event that is free and open to everyone whether you ride a motorcycle or not. There will be activities for all ages including Bike Games\, Bike Show\, Poker Run\, Kids Area\, Vendors\, Food\, Live Entertainment\, Silent and Live Auctions. \nThe Biker Bash will be held the night before on March 29\, 2019\, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Texas Elk’s Lodge. Entry is $20 and includes dinner as well as live entertainment and an auction. \nThe “Burn Run” is an event to raise money for charities in the Ark-La-Tex area. These charities include\, the Burn Foundation (Camp I’m Still Me) which helps children that have been severely burned attend camp for free\, WaterSprings Ranch (a Christian group home)\, and Christmas Toy Runs. All\ncontributions are 100% tax deductible. Texarkana is a 501(c)3 non profit organization\, our tax ID# 47-1306669 . DESCRIPTION:Texas A&M University-Texarkana and The Texarkana\nSymphony Orchestra (TSO) announce the next concert in their 2nd annual\nChamber Music Concert Series on Monday\, January 14\, 2019\, at 6:30PM. The\nconcert will take place in the Tri-State Iron & Metal Atrium\, 3rd Floor of the\nUniversity Center building\, and will feature the Emerald Quartet. The quartet\nincludes: TSO’s assistant concert master\, Diana Norwood; principal viola\, Borys\nSmolaga; and principal cello\, Brett Andrews. The Quartet will be joined by pianist\nDean Pieskee. Repertoire for the evening includes: Alexander Borodin’s String\nQuartet No. 2 in D Major\, and César Franck’s Piano Quintet in F Minor.\nThe 2018-2019 chamber music series is free and open to the public. Advanced\nreserved seating is available through the TSO office (or the night of the concert)\,\nfor $20 per concert or $80 for the full season. The series is underwritten\, in part\,\nby the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra\, Texas A&M University—Texarkana\, and\nthe Bobbie A. Atkinson Foundation. The final concert of the 2018-2019 chamber\nmusic series will be held on April 29\, 2019.\nThe Texarkana Symphony Orchestra (TSO)\, now in its Thirteenth Season\, is a fully\nprofessional symphony orchestra\, dedicated to bringing great symphonic music to\nthe Texarkana area.
